  Ingredients Delicious Moong Dal Dosa

1 cup whole moong beans

2 tbsp rice flour

chopped coriander leaves

1-2 garlic cloves, chopped (optional)

1 inch long piece of ginger

1-2 green chilies, chopped (or according to taste)

2 medium onions,  chopped

3 tbsp  chopped coriander leaves

Oil, for frying Salt to taste

How To Make Delicious Moong Dal Dosa

Wash the moong beans with water and soak them in 1½ cups of water for 4-6 hours. Drain the excess water from the soaked moong beans and put them in a mixer grinder jar. Add green chillies, ginger, garlic, rice flour and salt.

Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame. To check if the pan is hot enough to make dosa, sprinkle a few drops of water on its surface. If the water dries up immediately, it means the pan is hot enough to make dosa.

After the water dries up, pour a spoonful of the batter in the centre of the pan and spread the batter in a thin layer by moving the spoon in a circular motion (in a round shape of about 7-8 inches diameter).

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion and ½ tablespoon coriander leaves over it and press gently with a spoon. Drizzle 1 teaspoon oil around the edges and cook for 1½ – 2½ minutes or till the bottom surface turns light golden brown and the top surface looks slightly cooked.

If the top surface looks raw, flip it gently and let it cook for 30 seconds to a minute. Transfer it to a plate. Make dosas in the same way with the remaining batter. Serve hot Pesarattu (Mung Dal Dosa) with tomato chutney or coconut chutney.
