Semolina – 180 grams (1 cup)

Oil – 2 tablespoons

Peanuts – 1 tablespoon (roasted)

Mustard seeds –

1/4 small Green chili – 1 (finely chopped)

Green peas – 1 tablespoon

Carrot – 1 (cut into small pieces)

Butter – 1 tablespoon

Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)

Salt – 3/4 tsp or as per taste

How To Make Delicious Upma Recipe

Toast the semolina in a dry pan, stirring constantly, until lightly browned. Transfer the toasted semolina to a plate. Heat oil in the pan. Add the peanuts and lightly toast them. Once toasted, transfer them to a plate.

Add the mustard seeds to the remaining oil in the pan and let them lightly toast. Once the mustard seeds crackle, add the green chilies, chopped carrots, and peas and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then, add the semolina, three times the amount of water (3 cups), and salt.

When the semolina water begins to boil, stir it with a spoon. The batter will thicken and soon resemble pudding. Add peanuts and cook the semolina upma for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add butter and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Delicious rava upma is ready.
