Ingredients Delicious Uttapam Recipe

1 cup yogurt

1.5 cups semolina (rava)

1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 green chili, finely chopped

1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped

2 onions, finely chopped

1 tomato, finely chopped ,

2Capsicum finely chopped

2 tablespoons grated carrots

2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander

leaves Oil for frying, as needed

How To Make Delicious Uttapam Recipe

Combine 1.5 cups of semolina (rava) and 1 cup of fresh yogurt in a mixing bowl.

Then, add 3/4 cup of water and mix thoroughly again. The batter will thicken and have a spreading consistency. Set the batter aside for 15 minutes.

Then, add 1/4 cup water and mix again. Add salt to taste, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 finely chopped green chili, and 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger. Mix well. The batter for uttapam is ready.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine 2 finely chopped onions, 1 finely chopped tomato, 2 finely chopped bell peppers, 2 tablespoons grated carrots, 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Mix well. Serve this vegetable mixture.

This will be used to spread the uttapam.  Spread 1 teaspoon of oil on a hot pan.

Then spread the uttapam batter on the pan as you would for a set dosa. Spread the vegetable mixture evenly over the uttapam batter and press it down lightly.

Then, cook the uttapam thoroughly over medium heat. Afterward, gently flip the uttapam over. Apply oil if necessary. Cook the uttapam thoroughly on both sides. The Rava Uttapam is ready. Serve hot with chutney.
