Everyone likes to eat pickles and if there is pickle along with pulses and vegetables in the meal, then the enjoyment of eating only increases.
You can eat it with Paratha and Puri Roti and even while travelling, if you take pickle with you instead of vegetables, then it saves time for preparing vegetables. Also it tastes good with puri paratha.
Lal Mirch Bharwa Achar –
Ingredients Lal Mirch Bharwa Achar –
Red chilli – 250 grams
Mustard oil – 2 tbsp
Vinegar – 2-3 tbsp
Yellow mustard powder – 3 tsp
Fennel powder – 3 tsp
Fenugreek powder – 3 teaspoons
Salt – 2.5 tsp or as per taste
Turmeric powder – 1.5 tsp
Ajwain – ½ tsp
Asafoetida – less than ¼ tsp
How To Make Lal Mirch Bharwa Achar –
Now cut the stalk of all the chillies properly, then cut the chilli lengthwise in such a way that it remains attached on one side, cut all the chillies in the same way.
Lightly fry all the whole dry spices (which we have mentioned above) in a pan, let the roasted spices cool down, then grind them coarsely in a mixer and take them out in a vessel.
Now mix salt, turmeric, yellow ground mustard powder and dry mango powder well in coarsely ground spices. In this way the spices for your thick red chilli pickle will be ready.
Now heat mustard oil in a kadhai or pan and leave it for some time to cool down. Now put all the spices in a plate and mix mustard oil and vinegar well in it.
Now fill the red chillies with spices one by one. Keep in mind that the spices should be properly filled inside the chilli. Keep the filled red chilli pickle in a glass container.
