Ingredients for Palak Soup

Spinach – 250 grams (one small bunch)

Tomato – 2 (medium sized)

Ginger – 1/2 inch long piece

Plain salt – 1/2 tsp

Black salt – 1/4 tsp

Black pepper – 1/4th teaspoon Lemon

– 1/2 Butter-1-2 tbsp

Cream – 2 tbsp

Green Coriander – 1 tablespoon finely chopped

How to make Palak ka Soup

Clean the spinach by removing the stalks, dip the spinach leaves in water twice and wash them thoroughly. Wash the tomatoes also, peel the ginger and wash it. Cut the spinach and keep it in a vessel. After this, cut tomato and ginger into 4 to 5 pieces. Put these in the same vessel with spinach.

Also add 1 cup of water and after it starts boiling, boil for 2 to 3 more minutes. After this, turn off the gas and let the spinach cool down. After the spinach and tomatoes cool down, grind them finely with a mixer.

Mix 3 cups of the ground mixture and filter it. Put the strained soup back on fire. Add plain salt, black salt and black pepper to it. After the soup boils again, cook for 2-3 minutes more. Spinach soup is ready, turn off the flame. Add butter to the soup and mix, add lemon juice and mix.

Take out the hot spinach soup in a bowl and garnish it with cream and green coriander. Serve hot spinach soup with soup sticks or crusty bread.
